Graduate Teaching Assistant

Sarah Shermyen is a first-year PhD student in the English Department. An Americanist since undergrad, she became invested in Southern literature and the ways in which it is studied after moving north, and is now invested in where Southern literary criticism is created, and what it means to be a Southern writer.
