Please join us for a lecture by Dr. Anna Brickhouse, Professor of English at the University of Virginia and award-winning author of The Unsettlement of America (Oxford, 2014) and Transamerican Literary Relations and the Nineteenth-Century Public Sphere (Cambridge, 2005). Professor Brickhouse’s talk, “An Earthquake History of the Americas” is based on her current research, for which she was awarded a prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship. This talk is part of the Ballew and Methvin Lecture Series in the Department of English at UGA.
